Hourly, daily, and monthly can be retrieved from the CIMIS web site. Hourly and daily data can be retrieved either as a standard report or a report by sensor. In a standard report, data types (sensors) are predetermined and a user can not change them. A report by sensor, on the other hand, allows users to select the data types before generating the report. Data can be selected by station, geographic region, county, or zip code.

A sample report is available for registered and non-registered CIMIS data users. The sample report has daily data for the previous 7-days and monthly data for the previous 12-months. This is an easy way of retrieving CIMIS data for those interested only in short-term data.

There are also ETo Variance and Monthly Average ETo Reports. The ETo variance report is a comparative report of daily ETo between the current year, previous year, and normal year estimates for selected station(s). Absolute differences of daily ETo between the current year and the normal year, and normal year projections of ETo for the next 7-days, are also included. Monthly average ETo report provides users with a long-term (over several years) average monthly ETo. The length of time varies for each station, depending on the amount of data collected since its installation. For stations that do not have enough data, a nearby station with similar microclimates is used to approximate the long-term average ETo values.

After selecting the report type, the user can also choose between the following data formats or styles:
Data Formats
Web Format: The web format displays the report in the browser for the user to view it.
CSV Format: The comma separated values (CSV) format opens a spreadsheet application, such as Excel, and imports the selected data into the spreadsheet automatically. There are two types of CSV formats. These are: CSV with a heading for each data column and CSV without the heading.
XML Format: The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a flexible and easier way to integrate the data from a different source (in this case CIMIS) to your information.
PDF Format: The Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format that captures all the elements of a printed document as an electronic image that can be viewed or printed. It provides a very good printing quality. You need to have Adobe Acrobat to get the PDF format from the CIMIS web site.
