PREVAILING WINDS:
LOCAL CHARACTER: Located on the west side of the Sacramento River on the levee. The City of West Sacramento lies on the landside of the levee.

DESCRIPTION OF STATION SITE:
The station is installed on the grounds of a Department of Water Resources Field Flood Operations site. The station is a non-ETo station used primarily for research in the CIMIS program.

NORTH:
50ft: Bare soil
50-100- ft: Facility building and trees
100+ ft: Levee paved for equipment storage or covered with ice plant

EAST:
50ft: Bare soil
50+ ft: Paved road and buildings

SOUTH:
200+ ft: Bare soil and stacks of rock/soil samples along top of levee.
