LOCAL CHARACTER: Rural area with predominately tree crops such as almonds, plums and peaches. Row crops, tomatoes and beans, are common as well.

DESCRIPTION OF STATION SITE:
Located on a private farm in a little used sprinkler irrigated pasture. A wire fence surrounds the station.

NORTH:
300ft: Irrigated pasture

EAST:
75ft: Irrigated pasture
75-500+ft: Row crops (usually beans or tomato)

SOUTH:
200ft: Irrigated pasture
200-225ft: Unpaved farm lane
225-500+ft: Row crops (usually beans or tomato)

WEST:
75ft: Irrigated pasture
75ft: Unknown type tree approximately 50ft tall
75-200ft: Irrigated pasture
200ft: Farm buildings and paddocks

COMMENTS:
Pasture varies in quality due to how many livestock are available for grazing and the frequency of irrigation, which can be somewhat erratic. The raingage is covered, usually, when the site is sprinkler irrigated. The raingage is sometimes not uncovered when the winter rains begin.
